The BP621501 is updated from the item ( Item ID:271308346094 ) Enhanced tripod mounting Support Quick Release Plate BasePlate rod clamp kit, comes with two rod clamps / rail blocks, make it stronger.
Comes with two quick release plates, One is the plate which is compatible Manfrotto RC5 quick release system, the plate is a compatible 501PL. The other is the plate which is compatible with Giottos MH-621, MH-631 quick release system. There are 4 mounting holes on both quick release plates, allows you make one of them as bottom plate to fit quick release system. Of course you can buy the extra cheese plate ( Item ID:281075011558 ) to make it fit more tripods or quick replease plates.
The active block of clamp base is designed specially, allows you reverse it to mount the compatible 501PL quick release plate or the compatible MH-621 quick release plate.
In addition, the clamp base is  with 1/4"-20 mounting holes and  3/8" mounting holes. you can mount it on to tripod,quick release plate or stabilizer, camera dolly, jib crane directly without 15mm rod clamp,
More important, it shares the length and M5 holes spacing with items ( Item ID:281140437593; item ID:271093839808 ), More DIY fun....
