ANC encourages police to fight fire with fire when facing criminals

JOHANNESBURG – The police have the full support of the ANC. 
Secretary General Fikile Mbalula has echoed recent calls for police to respond to gunfire with gunfire.

He’s called for a tougher stance in the fight against criminals.  
Deputy Police Minister Polly Boshielo says more resources are needed to continue tackling crime at the rate we’ve seen recently.
Both more human resources and technology are need to combat the rising wave of crime.
Boshielo says the department has increased crime fighting efforts to address citizens’ concerns.
